Climate

Climate: Shandong has a temperate climate, lying in the transition between the humid subtropical and humid continental zones with four distinct seasons. Summers are hot and rainy (except for a few coastal areas), while winters are cold and dry. Average temperatures are −5 to 1 °C (23 to 34 °F) in January and 24 to 28 °C (75 to 82 °F) in July. Annual precipitation is 550 to 950 mm (22 to 37 in), the vast majority of which occurs during summer, due to monsoonalinfluences.

Transportation

Transportation: There are 8 civil airports in Shandong: Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai, Weihai, Weifang, Linyi, Dongying, and Jining. Among these airports, Yaoqiang Airport in Jinan, Liuting Airport in Qingdao, and Laishan Airport in Yantai are international airports, and the airports in Dingying and Jining are united airlines.
